Fall Show
St. Francis DeSales High School’s Drama Department
performed
Faith County II: An Evening of Cultur
e by
Mark Landon Smith over the weekend of November 9,
2012.
Faith County
was originally performed on the SFDHS
Little Theatre stage in 2008. The sequel brought
audience members back to Mineola, where the
Community Theatre is producing Romeo and Juliet.
With a dog barking, the telephone ringing, and a
scoreboard buzzing, the cast members try to forge
through the Shakespearean classic while giving the
audience many reasons to laugh along the way.
Leading roles were played by seniors Katie Myers
(Mildred Hayworth Carson) and Abby Svitana (Naomi
Louise Farkle Carson), juniors Michael Swaggerty (Luther
Carson) and Sarah Schaber (Faye McFaye), sophomores
Daniel Kelly (Bubba Bedford) and Kathleen Cavanagh
(Ruthann Barnes ), and freshmen Maddy Laugherty
(Violet Farkle), and Danny Barren (Delbert Fink).
