SFD is excited to welcome back
Tricia PolisenoVanGuilder ’86
as the newAlumni Relations
Director.Tricia, an Ohio University graduate, worked for the Diocese of Cleveland’s
Department of Social Services before moving back to Columbus in 1994. She met fellow
SFD alum, JaredVanGuilder ’88, and was married in 1996.They have one daughter, Marisa,
who will be a freshman at DeSales this fall. Tricia, who brings a background in sales, is
“excited about [her] new role and hopes to get the opportunity to meet each and every alum!”
CLASS OF 1999 WINS SOFTBALL TOURNEY
Even with the temperature reaching 100°, a great time was had by players and fans alike
at the annual Alumni Softball Tournament.The class of 1999 from the Purple Division and
players from ’81-’82-’83 from theWhite Division went undefeated in their respective
brackets. It turned out the the heat was too much for theWhite Division winners to
overcome the onslaught from the young guns of ’99. The umpire was forced to call the game
at the end of the 5th inning with ’99 winning 14-4.
The 7th annual Alumni Awards, held May 4, inducted six alumni and one honorary alum to the SFD Alumni Hall of
Fame. Stories were shared throughout the evening as these humble individuals were recognized among friends
and family. Congratulations to the 2012 inductees (pictured below): Molly Feesler ’82, Deb Landig, Chris Johnson
’70, Steve Julian ’85, Kathy Greene Derr ’73, Fr. William Faiella ’64, and Randall Leite,
