FOR
YOU
Brandie Stafford
was recently named the Branch
Manager at our Kinnear location. She has been working in
the credit union industry for over 13 years, beginning with
Columbus Techneglas FCU that eventually became part of
BMI FCU back in 2004. Brandie started out at the Southside
Branch before working her way up to the Branch Manager
position at the Kinnear Branch. Three years ago, Brandie
became a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor.
Brandie can help you: create a budget, plan for college
financing or work towards a comfortable retirement.
When she’s not helping BMI FCU members, Brandie can
be found in the great outdoors with her family, volunteering
in the community or taking part in events at her church.
Brandie also enjoys reading, although lately she admits that her literary choices have been
centered on the books she reads to her 7-year old twins at bedtime. Be sure to stop by
the Kinnear Branch and say “Hi.”

The Official Olympic Flag
Created by Pierre de Coubertin in 1914, the Olympic flag contains five interconnected rings on a white
background. The five rings symbolize the five significant continents and are interconnected to symbolize
the friendship to be gained from these international competitions. The rings, from left to right, are blue,
yellow, black, green, and red. The colors were chosen because at least one of them appeared on the flag
of every country in the world. The Olympic flag was first flown during the 1920 Olympic Games.
The Olympic Motto
In 1921, Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games, borrowed a Latin phrase from his
friend, Father Henri Didon, for the Olympic motto: Citius, Altius, Fortius ("Swifter, Higher, Stronger").
