Annual Alumni Social at DeSales Boys Basketball Game
Please join fellow alums in the alumni suite at Otterbein
University’s Rike Center for the DeSales vs. Watterson Basketball
game. Enjoy some refreshments and catch up with old friends
while watching the Stallions take on the Eagles.

Time: JV game begins at 6:30pm with Varsity game immediately following.

At halftime of the varsity game we will be recognizing the
following state championship teams during their milestone reunion years.
1997 Football, Girls Soccer and Boys Soccer teams
1993 Boys Gymnastics team
1992 Boys Soccer team
1982 Girls Volleyball team
On behalf of the students, faculty, Administration, and the Office of Alumni Relations, we are proud to introduce the
establishment of the new Alumni Advisory Board and Council. The board and council have replaced the former SFDHS
Alumni Association, and will oversee all issues pertinent to the nearly 9,000 alums. This restructured organization will
enable greater participation by the alumni. Board members include: Matt Beecroft ’88, Michael Cua ’73, Brian Emmerling
’93, Joe Finocchi ’64, Kathi Halas Haywood ’84, Jim Gallagher ’82, Patrick McGinnis ’74, Nick Rossetti ’01, Patrick Rossetti
’66, and Mark Zimmer ’79. Under the direction of Alumni Relations Director, Tricia Poliseno VanGuilder ’86, this board
needs the support of fellow alums to fill the following committees on our Alumni Council:

AcademicAdvisory:
Work in conjunction with SFDHS’Administrative team as well as the Guidance Staff andAcademic Council (Department
Chairpersons).This committee will assist in the following areas: educational trends, curricular ideas, guest speaking opportunities, andmentoring
opportunities with our students.Members of this committee should have experience in an educational field.
Annual Fund:
Assist theOffices of InstitutionalAdvancement andAlumni Relations in increasing the alumni participation in the SFDHSAnnual FundDrive.
Communication:
Work with theAlumniAdvisory Board andOffice ofAlumni Relations on improving the database and communicating information
pertinent to alumni using various sources such as social media, email marketing, and direct mail.
Events:
Responsible for the planning and implementation of alumni events. All events will be approved by theAlumniAdvisory Board, office ofAlumni
Relations in conjunction with the Principal. Sub-committees will be formed for each event with the event chair and co-chair overseeing the event.
Finance and Scholarship:
Work withAlumni Relations and InstitutionalAdvancement to cultivate and implement fundraising efforts to raise money
for alumni scholarship fund.
Spirituality:
Work withOffice of Campus Ministry andAlumni Director at SFDHS to increase alumni involvement in the spirituality of SFDHS.

Cluster Reunion, Alumni Softball Tournament and Family
Festival July 5 and 6, 2013
The tradition of the annual Alumni Sof tball Tournament continues, with the
addition of on-site food and beverages and kid-friendly activities. The Milena
DiMike ‘All About Fun’ 2013 Tiebreaker Memorial Tennis Tournament will also
take place that weekend. Check the website for event details!
